We have successfully completed the drawing of Norwegian grants. What did they bring us?

The goal of the project is to reduce the negative impact of the textile industry on the environment. Also thanks to the support of Norwegian grants and investors, we have managed the following within the SELITEX project since 2021

The SELITEX project was created in 2021, when we also received support from the “Development of trade, innovation and SMEs” program co-financed from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2020 and the budget of the Slovak Republic. The goal of the project is to reduce the negative impact of the textile industry on the environment.

Also thanks to the support of Norwegian grants and investors, we have managed the following within the SELITEX project since 2021:

● development and registration of new designs under the auspices of EUIPO,
● upcycling of over 9,800 kg of material,
● recycling over 4,400 kg of material,
● acquisition of a tailoring business in Hurbanovo,
● purchase of machines and technologies - new sewing machines, overlock machine,
engraving machine, device for cutting with an oscillating knife, delivery,...
● obtaining an ISO certificate
● creation of nine new jobs, the creation of a work team,
● publication of marketing outputs - TV reports, articles in magazines, posts on social
networks, promo information materials, ...
● project promotion at events - festivals, markets, conferences, fairs,...
● increase in traffic on the website,
● a lot of new collaborations and contacts, and others.

Utilizing grants also brought us a number of administrative and bureaucratic obstacles, delays in public procurement processes, meaningless barriers and other challenges that we had to deal with during the two years of drawing. Despite this, we evaluate this decision rather positively and we are glad that we managed to bring the cooperation to a successful end.

However, the SELITEX project does not end! Also thanks to the increase in production capacity and the construction of a larger production facility with new technologies, the door to new business opportunities has opened for us, which we plan to use.

Our plan is to increase the range of clients served, to provide them with more complex services in the field of ESG, and also cooperation with other companies operating in the textile industry. While the main goal is still to reduce the negative impact of the textile industry on the environment. We believe that sustainable and circular solutions will resonate even more this year, and we look forward to every further collaboration.
